Ingredients
½ c. margarine
1 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
½ tsp. salt
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions
In small saucepan, melt margarine over low heat. Add sugar; stir until dissolved. Put in mixer bowl and beat 1 minutes. Add egg and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Stir in flour and salt until blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread in greased and floured 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 25 or 30 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool completely in pan on rack. Cut into squares.
